Bobbin Shifter (Millworker) - he was 10 years old (1891 Census of Scotland), Jute Mill Stoker, Merchant Seaman, Jute Flax Warehouseman, Linoleum Factory Worker, Lift Attendant and Night Watchman. He spent some time in CANADA as a Longshoreman where he suffered a head injury from a marlin spike. During World War I he served in the Royal Naval Reserve as a Stoker aboard H.M.S. Duchess of Fife.
