Ann FOLLEN^1,2,4,5,7 was born on 1 May 1857 in Gordon's Land, Dura Street, Dundee, Forfarshire, SCOTLAND.⁵ She died on 22 November 1894 in 14 Kirk Entry, Dundee, Angus, SCOTLAND.¹ She was a Roman Catholic. An Irregular Marriage by Warrant of Sheriff Substitute of Forfarshire took place on 16 October 1891 at 16 Bank Street, Dundee to Hugh MASON, Merchant Seaman. Address for both was 219 Overgate, Dundee. By declaration in presence of David Bathie (Roof Sprigger) 29 N. Ellen Street, Dundee and Helen Kennedy (Sack Machinist) 219 Overgate, Dundee. The following is from the Record of Corrected Entries -

In the Sheriff Court of Forfarshire held at Dundee on 9 February 1892, Ann FOLLEN or BURKE was convicted of the crime of BIGAMY in having entered into a matrimonial connection with Hugh MASON, Seaman, her husband John BURKE being still alive, and her marriage with him still subsisting.

The above insertion is made by direction of the Registrar General, under the provisions of the 5th. Section of the Act, 18 Vict@29 on the authority of a relative extract Sentence of Imprisonment.

Ann FOLLEN and John BURKE were married on 8 February 1875 in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Forebank, Dundee, Forfarshire, SCOTLAND.² Marriage - After Banns according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. John BURKE^1,2,5 (son of Henry BURKE and Rose Ann CRANE) was born about 1852.² He died before 1912. John was a Tailor (Journeyman) and lived at the following addresses -
